阿寒タンチョウプロジェクト ２日目 シマフクロウ
シマフクロウ
現在生息数が減少し、絶滅が危惧されている
シマフクロウと出会う。
「森の哲学者」とも呼ばれ、アイヌ民族からはコタンコルカムイ
村を司る神や村を守る神という意味であがめられてきた。
シマフクロウの撮影
北海道全域に住んでいたシマフクロウはいまや中央部や道東の
一部にしか生息しておらず、その数は約100羽と極めて少なく
絶滅危機にある。
そんなシマフクロウとまた出会うことができて
嬉しいが、全てが人間の環境破壊に伴う影響・・・
シマフクロウの狩り
貴重なシマフクロウの狩りの様子です。
撮影の角度がイマイチだが、生きた魚を捕まえ
飛び立つところ・・・
魚を主食とし、生きた魚しか食べない。
シマフクロウは・・
体長約70cmくらいで翼開長170〜180cm、眼の色は黄色。
短く低い声で「ボー・ボ・ボー」と鳴き、大きな音を立てて飛びます。
シマフクロウ日本の天然記念物
日本の天然記念物で希少野生動植物種にも指定されていて
日本のみならず世界でも最大のフクロウ類の一つです。
また会おう
魚を主食とし体長が大きいため、その営巣する樹洞は、冬でも凍らない
川の河畔林にある、樹齢の古い広葉樹の巨木になければならない。
だが、河川開発や森林伐採によりこのような河畔の巨木は切り倒されつつある。
知床は世界遺産に登録されこんな写真は
もう撮れないかもしれない・・ またいつか会える事を願う・・・

飛ぶ時の音も「バサバサ」飛んでいきます。
鋭い目は厳しい自然を生きている証でしょうね！！
